One needs to be a polymath with an IQ of 175 and also a Python programmer, plus one should have experience with S++, the language we have created for the platform. You also need to have immense patience since, after the first few simple graphs and charts, we complicate your life in areas like security, building datasets, cleaning data, and making it almost impossible to do predictive analytics without writing tons of code. You will also need an expert to understand your billing and another one to make the architecture using a plethora of tools we have developed while we were growing as a company.

SMARTEN is MERLIN, the Magic Wizard of Analytics, Codeless, Simple, and designed for quick change with a unique architecture.

It offers everything from Data Cleansing and Data Quality assessment. Its data preparation module is capable of anything from breaking up time stamps to the day of the week or adding a complex computed column. The Visualization module lets you think about data more than give you a graph.

We may be the only platform in the world that provides a simple wizard-driven module for predictive analytics where you can change features or the algorithm on the fly. The outcome of the prediction can be embedded in the dashboard.

The magic is not yet complete; there is an Anomaly detection snapshot that gives you an exception whenever there is a deviation, it could be based on a complex expression for a KPI or a simple numeric value. You do not need to write a single line of code.

Smarten Augmented Analytics Enterprise Suite – This solution is hosted with an on-premises server using the business IT infrastructure at the business location, or via a private or public cloud server managed by the business. This approach allows for embedded BI and integration APIs. It does not restrict data size or data refresh and allows the business to control its appliance and IT resources for the Smarten platform. The business can publish a report or a Smarten object to a public user with a permanent URL. The full suite approach allows for full scale enterprise application administration, management tuning functions with fine-grain access rights and security controls and other enterprise features. he

Smarten Cloud – This solution includes the same features and modules as the Smarten Augmented Analytics Enterprise Suite, but it is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution that is hosted and managed by the Smarten team. The business does not host or control the IT infrastructure, server sizing or capacity. The business does not have control over IT appliance or IT resources for the Smarten platform. Pricing, Subscriptions and Payment

No long-term contracts are required. All Smarten Cloud pricing plans and subscriptions are based on a monthly or annual plan.

Subscription plans are bundled to support a group of users. When you establish the first Smarten Cloud user account for your business, you will choose a subscription plan based on your business requirements. Each subscription plan provides access for a specific number of users. Account management, billing and payment for all users is managed by the user who established the account, and that user then becomes the ‘Administrator.’ The Administrator may invite users, and provide access via the Smarten Cloud ‘My Account’ page (See, ‘How Do I Add/Invite Users to My Account’ in the ‘Using Smarten Cloud’ Section of these FAQs)

We offer a range of pricing plans to suit different needs. You can choose a plan that fits your budget, your needs, and your data volume. Click here for details, pricing, and available subscription plans.

We offer various Add-On User plans to add users to your account. You can add users at any time during your active subscription. Click here for details of Add-On User plans.

Base Plan Users are power users with Self-Serve Data Preparation, and SmartenInsight (Assisted Predictive Modeling) power user access. These users can create datasets, BI objects and predictive models as needed.

Add-On Users are view-only users. They cannot create objects in Smarten Cloud. They can view objects created by Base Plan Users, and shared with Add-On Users.

An online payment option is available from the ‘My Account’ page. Follow the steps below to complete your online payment.

  • Login to https://app.Smarten.com
  • Go To My Account -> Subscription -> Upgrade
  • Choose the appropriate plan, and select an online payment option
  • View the order summary, and select ‘Pay Now’
  • You will be redirected to a secure payment gateway
  • Online payments are accepted by credit card, or debit card.

FREE TRIAL: Following the thirty (30) day FREE TRIAL period, you must renew your plan manually. The Smarten Cloud FREE TRIAL account does not include an automatic renewal option.

SUBSCRIPTION: Following the expiration of your subscription plan, you must renew your plan manually. The Smarten Cloud account does not include an automatic renewal option.

Smarten Cloud does not support recurring payments or automatic renewal. You can renew your subscription at any time, either before expiration, or within ten (10) days from the expiration date of the plan by selecting ‘My Account > Subscription’.

Note: If you do not renew your subscription within ten (10) days after the plan expiration date, your account and stored data will be permanently removed from the server. This data and account information cannot be restored.

You can upgrade your plan at any time. The Smarten Cloud team will calculate your usage in the existing plan, and charge only the remaining amount for upgrade.

Example:

If you register on 1st Mar, 2023, you will have a thirty (30) day free trial, expiring on 1stApr, 2023. If you subscribe to the Standard monthly plan on 20th Mar, 2023, your subscription is valid from 20th Mar 2023 till 20th Apr, 2023. If you upgrade your Standard Plan to a Premium Plan on 10th Apr, 2023, we will calculate and deduct the remaining period charges from the original Standard Plan, and apply it to the new Premium plan charges as illustrated below.

Here, the plan amount for Standard is USD $24.99 per month, and for the Premium plan, it is USD $59.99 per month.

You can buy an Add-On User plan at any time during your active subscription period. The charges for an Add-On User plan will be charged proportionately, from the date you buy the plan till the expiry date of the Base Plan. If you upgrade the Add-On User plan, you will get credit for the remaining days of the Add-On User plan, and that credit will be deducted from the new Add-On User plan amount.

Example:

If your current Base Plan expires on 10th Jun 2023 and you buy an Add-On User plan for 5 users @ $4.99 per user per month on 1st Jun 2023, you will be charged $ 4.16 for 10 days only till 10th Jun 2023.

If you add more 5 users to the existing Add-on User plan on 5th Jun 2023, you will be charged for 5 users for 5 days only.

The Add-on Mobile app Users are also charged the same way.

A downgrade is not available.

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Be aware that you will not receive a refund for any usage balance in your account.

Using Smarten Cloud

You do not need to install any software to use Smarten Cloud. Smarten Cloud is a Software as a Service (SaaS) product, and it is accessed through a web browser. No desktop application is needed. All you need is a stable internet connection, and a web browser (Chrome v108, Firefox v107, Safari v15.6 or Edge v107 and above).

Each plan supports a specific number of users. For example, the Standard Plan provides access for three users, including the Administrator.

Follow these steps to add/invite users to your account:

  • Login to https://app.Smarten.com
  • Go To My Account -> Invite via Email Address section.
  • Add the user email address, and click on the “Send Invitation” link.
  • The new user will receive an invitation email with a registration link.
  • When the user completes the registration process, the new user information will be added to your account.

Note: If the number of users you want to add/invite exceeds the maximum number of users supported by your subscription plan, you must upgrade your plan to accommodate the new requirement.

If you need to upgrade your plan during your existing subscription period, you will receive a credit for the number of remaining days in your original plan.

Smarten Cloud allows you to share and collaborate with your team members. You can create Smarten objects such as a report or a predictive model for your own use, or share with other users in your account, as per your requirements.

Integration and embedded APIs are not available to Smarten Cloud users.

No, reports or other objects created using Smarten Cloud can be consumed by Smarten users in your account, or any other public user.

No such option is provided for Smarten Cloud.

Yes, you can export your reports and other objects created in Smarten Cloud into various file formats. Smarten Cloud supports exporting into the following formats.

  • CSV: Exports the underlying data of a report as a Comma Separated Value (CSV) file.
  • PDF: Exports the report/dashboard as a printer-friendly Portable Document Format (PDF).
  • HTML: Exports the report/dashboard as a HTML document.
  • Excel: Exports the underlying data of a report as an Excel (XLS) file.
  • Image: Exports Charts as a GIF or PNG image.

You can also email the exported reports to other users.

Yes, you can email reports and other objects created in Smarten Cloud as attachments to your users. You can also schedule the emails to be sent automatically at specified time intervals.

You can configure delivery and publishing scheduler for an object such as a report, and that report will be sent to the recipients (any Smarten Cloud user in your account) as per the scheduler frequency, e.g., sales report should be sent to sales team users at 7:00 a.m. every Monday morning.

Smarten Cloud provides native mobile app to access Smarten from mobile. You need to purchase add-on mobile users to enable mobile app access for your account. For more details about Smarten native mobile app, please visit here.

To use Smarten Mobile App, you must purchase a Mobile App add-on plan. Click here for details on Mobile App add-on plans.

The Smarten Mobile App license is an add-on that supports existing Smarten Cloud users. To use Smarten Mobile App on a mobile device, the user must be a Smarten Cloud user. For example, if a business has a Smarten Cloud Base Plan for five (5) users and a User Add-On plan for five (5) users, you can add some or all ten (10) existing Smarten Cloud users as Mobile App users to satisfy their roles and business needs.

Smarten Mobile App provides access to Dashboards, Crosstab, Graphs, SmartenView, GeoMap, Tabular, KPIs, KPI Group, Clickless Analytics - NLP Search, Snapshot Alerts, Repository, My Favorites, Export, Recent Objects and Share – all from within the mobile app. Users can login with a Smarten Cloud login, browse and search Smarten objects, and access objects for interactive analysis.

Users can download Smarten objects via PDF, XLS, and other file formats and share via WhatsApp, email or other sharing app loaded on their device.

Once you have a Smarten Cloud plan and mobile app add-on access for the Smarten Mobile App, users can download the Smarten Mobile App from the appropriate app store (for either Android or iPhone) and can then configure the Smarten Cloud URL detail, user name and password within the Smarten Mobile App, and begin to use all the features and functionality of the mobile application.

About Data, Algorithms and Models

We take data security very seriously, and have implemented robust security measures to protect your data. All data is encrypted and stored on secure servers, and we comply with industry-standard security protocols.

Smarten Cloud allows upload of data files up to 100MB.

In order to load data files that are larger than 100MB simply:

  • Split the file into multiple files of less than 100MB.
  • Upload multiple files from the upload files step of dataset creation
  • Load data into a dataset.

Example: Date set size= 180MB. Split the dataset into 2 files and upload both files to create a dataset.

Note: Smarten Cloud will load data into a dataset, up to the records limit established by your subscription plan. Uploaded data that exceed the subscription plan limit will be ignored.

The number of rows (records) is the sum of rows stored in all datasets created in your account.

Example: If you create 3 datasets with 100000 records each, the number of rows is counted as 300000 rows. Smarten Cloud will ignore all the records beyond the number of rows limit established by your subscription plan.

You can periodically upload/push/import data into Smarten Cloud through any of the following supported means:

  • Dataset rebuild schedulers – You can configure dataset rebuild scheduler to update data periodically.
  • Refresh from source – You can use the “Refresh from source” option from your dataset to manually updating data from data source.
  • For file data sources created by uploading files from your desktop, you can upload new files from the “Edit data source” screen from Data source listing section.

Data import and update APIs are not available to Smarten Cloud users.

About Smarten Insights Predictive Modeling

We support several algorithms for forecasting, classification, regression, clustering, associations, hypothesis testing and sentiment analysis techniques. We will add more algorithms in the future.

 Note: You can import PMML models created from other tools and platforms. Smarten Cloud supports nearly all types of predictive models via PMML, except for Time Series.

Smarten Cloud Assisted Predictive Modeling has built-in support for auto selection, to choose the best fit for an algorithm based on your data. However, if you wish to use a different algorithm, you can switch to another available option.

Auto Insights receives your dataset as input, and applies suitable predictive techniques, then generates insights automatically.

  • A visual representation of base level insights for the Smarten Cloud object.
  • An English narrative interpretation of the Smarten Cloud object.
  • Technical properties and description of Smarten Cloud object for data science or statistical perspective.
  • Predict results for multiple records and generate validation summary.
  • Predict results for a single record.
  • Interactive English interpretation highlights key influencers, correlation of variables, and effects of predictor(s) on target.
  • Predictive simulation based on changing influencer values, with a what-if interactive interface.
  • Change model parameters like target variables, predictor variables and other parameters of the model.

Smarten Cloud supports PMML models within its workflow, to enable interoperability of the predictive models created in other platforms (such as R and Python), and to utilize those PMML models to make predictions on operational data.

Using PMML models with Smarten Cloud is simple and takes just a few steps:

  • Import valid PMML file.,
  • The model will be loaded into Smarten Cloud and will display important elements, such as Interpretation, Model Summary, and Model Information.
  • You can use a single record instance of a test record, and predict results using the ‘Apply’ option in Smarten Cloud.
  • You can use multiple test records and predict results, using the ‘Mass Apply’ option in Smarten Cloud. These test records can be uploaded using a CSV file or the Smarten dataset.

Smarten Cloud shows accuracy using an emoji image which appears at the top left of the Smarten Cloud model interface. You can also find more details about the model in the Model Summary tab.

  • You can use a single record instance of a test record and predict results using the ‘Apply’ option.
  • You can use multiple test records and predict results using the ‘Mass Apply’ option in Smarten Cloud. These test records can be uploaded using an XLS or a CSV file or from the Smarten dataset.

 

Note: We do not support web service interfaces to import models. We will provide support for this function in the future.
